K-Prefab, a subsidiary of K-Fast Holding (K-Fastigheter), has recently secured a full-service agreement to provide a concrete frame for the construction of new sites in Kv Virket 3 in Lund, Sweden.

This project, which is K-Prefab’s largest to date, includes 45,000m² of rental apartments, 1,100m² of commercial premises, and an underground parking garage.

The collaboration with local construction company MTA Bygg och Anläggning, whose end customer is the housing company Huseriet/Rikshem, involves K-Prefab carrying out a complete contract (ABT-U) using its concrete frame system in full.

The involvement of K-Prefab is at the project planning document stage.

K-Prefab CEO Stefan Paulsson said: “I’m proud of our organisation that makes a terrific job at the ongoing phase which has enabled us to be entrusted with the next phase as well.

“We will be part of the project planning document stage until the end of the year, the detailed project planning during 2026 and thereafter start production. After that we have about two-and-a-half years before completion.”

The Kv Virket 3 project is part of the redevelopment of the former industrial area of Västerbro into a sustainable district.

The project’s construction is scheduled to commence in 2026.

K-Fastigheter, a property company, via an integrated process, conducts its business across the construction and property management segments.

In February 2024, K-Prefab and NCC signed an agreement for the delivery of concrete and steel frames for new facilities in Halmstad.

Following this, K-Prefab entered into a full-service agreement with Noccon in May, to supply a concrete frame for a new mixed-use project in Årstaberg, Stockholm, with Wallenstam as the end customer.
