Juneau Construction Company has partnered with Buildots for an off-campus student housing project at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), US.
AI construction management platform Buildots has been adopted for the project, which spans more than 800,000ft² across three buildings.
The development, which is the latest student housing project for Juneau, will provide approximately 2,000 beds for students at UTK.
Using the Buildots platform, data is captured by 360-degree cameras at the construction site, which is then analysed using proprietary AI algorithms.
The Juneau team is said to receive accurate, detailed progress reports and forecasts via this platform.
These insights enable the team to anticipate and mitigate potential delays, improving schedule adherence and enhancing the overall efficiency of the project.

By GlobalDataJuneau operations VP Greg Cornwell said: “Juneau is constantly looking to improve quality and efficiency to increase the value we bring to our clients. With Buildots, we are able to have exceptional control and visibility when it comes to large and complex projects like Hub Knoxville.
“We have already seen how it’s helping have better insights into the execution of the work in the field, ultimately allowing us to improve quality control and avoid delays, ensuring that UTK students will enjoy a truly exceptional new housing option.”
Designed by Dwell Design Studio and developed by Core Spaces, the complex will feature about 600 units.
It will have 20,000ft² of rooftop amenity space and approximately 23,000ft² of interior amenity space, which includes a fitness centre, pool, and study lounges.
Buildots co-founder and CPO Aviv Leibovici said: “We’re proud to partner with Juneau Construction and pleased to see how their use of Buildots and our Performance Driven Construction Management (PDCM) method has been able to minimise project delays and increase efficiency at Hub Knoxville.”
Buildots is also set to be used on another Juneau project, named One Park Tower, a 299-unit, 33-storey luxury condominium tower in North Miami, Florida, US.
In May this year, Buildots introduced a new feature known as the Delay Forecast.
