Halcrow, a company owned by Jacobs, in joint venture with AECOM, has received a consultancy agreement for the initial phase of the San Tin Technopole in Hong Kong.
Awarded by the Civil Engineering and Development Department, this development aligns with the Hong Kong 2030+ Study’s initiatives to enhance the built environment.
The consultancy encompasses a development plan for a 250 hectare area within the Northern Metropolis.
The scope of Halcrow and AECOM’s consultancy includes design review, detailed design, tendering, as well as construction supervision.
It will also include engineering of infrastructure such as roads, bridges, drainage systems, sewerage, waterworks, pumping stations, reservoirs, and a common utility tunnel.
San Tin Technopole aims to establish an international innovation and technology hub, providing facilities for technology development, housing, community, and commercial use.

In July 2024, Jacobs was appointed to provide programme management and consultancy services for King County Wastewater Treatment Division’s infrastructure upgrade project.
