Granite has secured a $20m contract from the City of Chandler, Arizona, to undertake a major road improvement project.
The award, which will be federally funded and managed by the city, is anticipated to be included by the company in its first quarter CAP.
According to Granite, it is the largest contract so far for its newly set up Phoenix Area office.
The contract will improve road safety and features along Chandler Heights Road from McQueen Road to Gilbert Road.
Under the contract, the scope of work includes widening the existing road to at least four lanes, a raised and landscaped median, and curb and gutter work.
Among the further safety features include upgrades to the sidewalks for ADA compliance, new traffic signals, and LED streetlights.
