GMI Construction Group has secured a contract to develop three high-spec warehouse units at Precedent Drive in Milton Keynes, UK.
The project, commissioned by DV5 Last Mile Developments, a joint venture between property development company Coltham and clients of Delancey Real Estate, is set to create 300 jobs and marks GMI’s expansion into the South East England region.
The £20m ($24.88m) redevelopment will transform the site into an industrial and logistics hub.
GMI’s strategic move into the south-east follows its recent £50m residential contract in Bristol.
The project involves demolishing the site’s existing office buildings to construct three modern warehouse units, individually spanning more than 52,487ft², 51,062ft², and 72,945ft².
Unit 1, already pre-let to a green-tech manufacturer, will have a clear height of 12m while units 2 and 3 will reach 15m and include two-storey offices.
