Galliford Try, a UK-based construction company, has secured two contracts worth ₤65m and a major framework place for the education sector in the UK.
Galliford Try’s Building business has secured a ₤38m contract from Northumberland County Council to build a new education campus in Hexham for the Hadrian Learning Trust.
The project will co-locate Middle School and Queen Elizabeth High School on the existing high school site and will include the construction of new sports facilities, open to the community.
The second contract was signed with University of Birmingham, which aims to build The University of Birmingham: The Exchange at 3 Centenary Square in the heart of West Midlands.
Worth ₤27m, the contract will include the transformation of the former Municipal Bank building into spaces for research and public engagement, along with collaborative workspaces and an incubator for graduate and student start-up businesses.
Furthermore, Galliford Try has also secured a place on the University of Birmingham’s Main Contractor Construction Framework in the £2.5m to £10m and £10m+ lots. The framework is set to be in place for the next 10 years and with the two value bands, it is estimated to have a pipeline value of more than ₤700m during the period.
