United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based property developer Arada has contracted Gulf Asia Contracting Company (GAC) to develop Nasaq District in Sharjah, UAE.
Nasaq District is a cluster of six residential communities within the master plan of Sharjah’s largest mixed-use town, Aljada.
The contract is worth Dh395m ($107.54m) and demands substantial civil and industrial construction expertise.
GAC already holds an active position on the Aljada worksite, as part of another contract to develop the Vida Aljada hotel complex in January this year, valued at Dh475m.
Construction work at the site will begin immediately and is scheduled to take 24 months to complete.
Arada CEO Ahmed Alkhoshaibi said: “We’re determined to keep up the pace of work at Aljada, where 3,200 homes are now under construction, and look forward to working with our partner GAC to bring this vibrant new district to life.

By GlobalData“Elsewhere on the Aljada job site, our teams are now closing in on the completion of the second phase of Madar, the popular family entertainment district, and we look forward to opening new and exciting attractions to the public within the coming months.”
Nasaq District features 649 residences ranging from one to three-bedroom floor plans.
Each block provides residents access to Aljada’s tree-lined East Boulevard, which offers diverse shopping and dining options, as well as the community’s urban linear park, which contains substantial recreational facilities.
Meanwhile, Aljada spans 24 million square feet and includes multiple residential areas and major retail, hotel, entertainment, sports, educational, healthcare, and business park amenities, all within a green urban master plan.
Arada has already sold 9,000 apartments out of more than 25,000 planned for Aljada, with 6,300 constructed.
