The Philippines’ Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has celebrated the topping off of the Flyover No. 1 project in Balagtas, Bulacan, Philippines.
The project is part of the overarching Arterial Road Bypass Project – Phase 3.
The final batch of concrete mix was poured, marking the completion of the 561m four-lane overpass structure.
This structure is anticipated to reduce traffic congestion, enhance connectivity, and support the growing industries in the Province of Bulacan.
The project, funded through Official Development Assistance from the Japan International Cooperation Agency, is expected to benefit approximately 15,000 motorists daily.
DPWH Senior Undersecretary Emil Sadain, in his report to Secretary Manuel Bonoan, stated that the next phase of the flyover project would include the finishing touches and preparations for the official opening ceremony.
