Flournoy Development Group has announced the ground-breaking of District South, a luxury mixed-use community in Greenville, South Carolina, US.
Situated on a 21-acre site, District South will feature a collection of 365 multifamily units, 90 for-rent townhomes, six carriage homes, and 13 retail spaces.
The community will comprise five four-storey apartment buildings, 12 townhome buildings, and three carriage home buildings, intended to improve connectivity both within the community and the surrounding area.
Strategically located near major interstate roads Interstate 85 (I-85) and I-385, District South offers access to Greenville’s economic hubs, including employers such as BMW, GE, Michelin, Jacobs, and Fluor.
Located off the Woodruff Road corridor, the site provides proximity to dining, entertainment, and retail options such as Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Publix, and Sprouts.
Furthermore, located just 15 minutes from Downtown Greenville, this area is claimed to be ‘ideal’ for professionals balancing city and suburban living.
Residents will have access to amenities designed for wellness, relaxation, and social engagement. These include a grab-and-go market, a resident lounge, a fitness and wellness centre, and a swimming pool with a pool courtyard.
Outdoor grilling stations and entertainment areas will offer spaces for gatherings while pet owners will have access to a dog park and an indoor pet spa.
Each apartment home will feature one- and two-bedroom layouts with ‘upscale’ finishes, including quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, vinyl plank flooring, and full-size washers and dryers.
The project team includes domestic architect Dynamik Design, construction company McShane Construction as the general contractor, and civil engineering business Gray Engineering. Flournoy Properties Group will manage the community.
Earlier this month, Flournoy Development Group and JR West broke ground on Ellison Nona, a multifamily project in the Lake Nona submarket of Orlando, Florida, US.
