Speciality concrete and masonry construction products manufacturer Euclid Chemical has introduced two patent-pending products, EucoTilt WB and EucoTilt SB, for tilt-up construction.
These latest innovations in bond breaker technology aim to improve the efficiency, quality, and sustainability of tilt-up concrete construction projects.
The launch is part of Euclid Chemical’s comprehensive tilt-up package.
EucoTilt SB, a solvent-based bond breaker, is engineered with a chemically reactive, membrane-forming cure.
It avoids the use of wax or hydrocarbon resins, instead using organic compounds to interact with the free lime in concrete.
This reaction forms amorphous gels and metallic soaps, ensuring a clean release of cast panels and reducing the need for repairs.

By GlobalDataThe solvent blend allows rapid drying in cool and damp conditions, thus boosting productivity on construction sites.
The water-based alternative, EucoTilt WB, mirrors the chemical reactivity and performance benefits of its solvent-based counterpart.
It is designed to be environmentally sustainable, complying with Volatile Organic Compound regulations in the US, including those set by the Environmental Protection Agency and various regional standards.
Its microemulsion composition, featuring ultrasmall particle size, ensures improved application and uniform film formation, leading to tilt-up panels with cleaner surfaces and reduced defects.
Both EucoTilt SB and EucoTilt WB claim to serve as cure coats, conforming to the moisture retention criteria of ASTM C309 on hard-trowelled surfaces.
Their interaction with free lime in concrete enhances their resistance to weathering and abrasion, promoting durability.
Euclid Chemical senior product manager Matt Kwiecien said: “We are excited to expand Euclid Chemical’s position as the leader in concrete flooring products.
“Representing our commitment to innovation and sustainability in tilt-up construction, our new EucoTilt bond breakers offer contractors a solution that improves efficiency and delivers superior results.”
Additionally, Euclid Chemical’s tilt-up package includes complementary products such as EucoRepair Smooth repair mortar and Euco Diamond Hard liquid densifier, among others.
