
France-based engineering provider Egis has been chosen to deliver project management consultancy (PMC) services for the new Kuwait Airways Tower in Qibla, Kuwait.
Selected by Kuwait Airways Company (KAC), the contract’s value has not been disclosed.
KAC intends to build a LEED-certified, multipurpose tower that meets its advanced technological and professional requirements while maximising usefulness and sustainability.
Egis will collaborate with KAC throughout the project’s life cycle, providing full project management services ranging from predesign to testing, commissioning, and eventual handover.
The 1,416m³ project will feature a multistorey tower with 20 to 30 floors, a two-level basement for parking, a podium as a multipurpose hall with retail space on the first floor and two mezzanine levels, as well as further upper levels.
The project’s scope also includes landscaping, exterior civil works, surface parking spots, hospitality services, and other components based on the feasibility study, guaranteeing optimal utilisation of the available area and services within and around the site.
Egis will oversee preconstruction and construction phases, feasibility studies, site analysis, market research, cost and time management, project concept and programme, value engineering, project scheduling, LEED consultation, design coordination, quality control, risk planning, and other aspects.
