Egis has secured a contract from the Al Madinah Region Development Authority (MDA) for the Madinah Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in Saudi Arabia.
This initiative is a part of the Pilgrim Experience Programme, aligned with the kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.
Egis’s mandate includes project management and construction management (PMCM) services.
The BRT project includes plans to establish up to 500 stations and achieve 80-90% area coverage by 2030.
It further aims to upgrade the public transportation network, as well as facilitate seamless travel for visitors and reduce traffic congestion.
It also intends to offer a secure and environmentally friendly transport option for residents, tourists, and pilgrims alike.
