Real-estate developers Russell Square and Jackson Square Properties have commenced the construction of Delta Shores, a new multifamily housing development in Sacramento, California, US.
The development, which will include 576 units, is located near Interstate 5 and the Delta Shores retail centre, offering future residents access to shopping, dining, and entertainment amenities and regional connectivity.
The project’s construction began last month and is expected to reach completion by late 2026.
Spanning 900,000ft², the Delta Shores development will house 21 residential buildings of three to four storeys, designed in a transitional contemporary style.
Its design will include pitched roofs, complemented by flat-roofed bays with a ceramic tile finish.
The project will also include two clubhouses, all reflecting the same modern aesthetic.

Russell Square vice-president Andrew Schuurs said: “Delta Shores is a natural fit for our approach – building thoughtfully designed communities in areas primed for long-term demand.
“We’re bringing high-quality rental housing to a location that balances convenience, amenities, and accessibility.”
Delta Shores is part of a larger master-planned community that stretches across 800 acres and will accommodate more than 4,900 residential units alongside 1.3 million square feet of retail space.
Serving as the general contractor, Russell Square is set to deliver this integrated community within California’s multifamily sector.
In July 2024, Sacramento International Airport awarded a $30m contract to Parsons and Vanir for construction management and inspection services under its SMForward programme.
The five-year contract was granted by the Sacramento County Department of Airports.
