SCG International’s subsidiary CPAC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Samsung E&A for the 3D printing and special cementitious materials’ development and commercialisation for the construction industry.
The collaboration brings together Samsung E&A’s expertise in comprehensive construction solutions with CPAC’s cement and concrete products and technology.
The MoU signifies a shared commitment to innovation and technology, with a focus on 3D printing to enhance operational efficiency, reduce errors, and promote sustainable construction practices.
3D printing technology in construction offers numerous benefits, including automated processes, accelerated building timelines, and minimised waste.
The partnership will also engage in research and development (R&D) for material science, machinery, and knowledge exchange to advance the use of 3D printing and special cementitious materials.
Samsung E&A will contribute its 3D Printing Mortar, capable of creating complex multistorey structures.
