Harworth Group has announced the commencement of construction on a new mixed-use development, Olive Lane, located within the Waverley project in Rotherham, England, UK.
A ground-breaking event was held in December 2023, which came following planning approval achieved the month before.
It was attended by representatives from Harworth Group, Sky-House, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, Waverley Community Council, and various project delivery teams.
Lindum Group is the construction contractor of the project while other contributors include architect CODA, landscape architect PWP Design, civil engineer BE Design, planning consultant Stantec, and project/cost manager Edge.
Olive Lane will feature 21,000ft² of retail and leisure space, including cafés, convenience stores, and restaurants.
The pedestrianised high street, designed by CODA, aims to seamlessly connect the residential neighbourhood with the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP).

Harworth also completed a two-acre land sale to Sky-House, facilitating the development of 50 residential units adjacent to Olive Lane’s high street.
