US-based developer Cold Creek Solutions has officially marked the start of construction on the new cold storage facility with ground-breaking in San Antonio, Texas, US.

Located at the intersection of I-10 E and loop 410, the new 300,500ft2 facility is expected to be one of the largest facilities in San Antonio as well as in surrounding areas.

It will include more than 294,500ft2 of fully convertible temperature-controlled space along with 6,000ft2 of office space.

The cold storage facility will also include two drive-in ramps, 48′ clear height, and 48 dock positions.

Upon completion in August this year, the facility will also provide storage for 45,000 pallets of frozen or refrigerated products. It will also allow for single or multi-tenant use.

The company stated that the new facility marks its second cold storage project in Texas, with the first project being a 374,560ft2 cold storage facility located in Denton.
