CIMC Modular Building Systems (CIMC MBS) has hosted a delivery ceremony to celebrate the birth of Hong Kong’s first modular legislative office.
The office is part of the expansion project of the Hong Kong Legislative Council Complex.
It represents the first use of modular construction technology for the expansion project in Hong Kong.
After the development is completed, it is also said to be Hong Kong’s first high-end office of its kind.
The project comprises 286 modules and involves adding legislative floors from the 11th to the 14th level.
Every floor is outfitted with 15 legislative offices, along with facilities such as receptions, toilets, and pantry areas. Each legislative office occupies an area of approximately 60m².
