American metal supplier Central States Manufacturing has begun construction on its 12th manufacturing facility in Tooele, Utah, US.
Construction commencement was marked by a ground-breaking ceremony at the site.
Central States Manufacturing president Tim Ruger said: “We could not be more excited about the ground-breaking of our 12th manufacturing plant in Tooele.
“We are thrilled to be able to provide quality metal products and exceptional customer service to current and future partners in the West [US], as well as extend opportunities for new employee ownership.
“We would like to thank the city of Tooele and our local partners who have played a crucial role in making this expansion a reality and we are eagerly looking forward to serving [the] community.”
Situated 40 minutes from the state capital Salt Lake City, the plant will allow the company to expand its presence into the western region of the country into other states such as Idaho and Colorado.

By GlobalDataThe Tooele-based factory will also represent a considerable investment made by the company into the community.
The business intends to invest more than $25m in the facility over the next five years. The plant will occupy over 100,000ft² in space and carries an initial cost of more than $10m.
Central States expects to create more than 90 new jobs throughout the construction process, significantly contributing to the area’s employment conditions.
Tooele mayor Debbie Winn said: “Working with Central States over the last year has been a pleasure for our city.
