Housing association Riverside and Vistry Group, through its Countryside Partnerships brand, have recently celebrated construction milestones for their Bromley estate regeneration projects in the UK.
The ceremonies highlighted the commencement of construction at the Calverley Close estate and the topping-out of the first building at the Pike Close estate, respectively.
These developments follow a residents’ ballot in favour of Riverside’s plans and full planning permission granted by Bromley Council for Calverley Close in January 2023 and Pike Close in March 2022.
Vistry Group is reconstructing the Calverley Close and Pike Close estates to offer every Riverside customer an enhanced home tailored to their needs.
Social tenants currently residing in these estates will be provided a home in the newly constructed estate, with their rent and tenancy terms safeguarded.
The Riverside Group’s One Housing managing director Jehan Weerasinghe said: “Calverley Close and Pike Close are part of our wider ambitions to redevelop several neighbourhoods in London over the coming years, by building new estates that will improve quality of life for our existing customers and future generations.

We’re looking forward to continuing our joint efforts with Vistry to bring over 400 improved homes to those living in Bromley.”
The Calverley Close estate redevelopment in Beckenham is set to provide 275 new homes, including 255 apartments across six blocks and 20 three-storey townhouses.
Last month, Vistry Group unveiled the first show homes at its Brookmill Meadows development in Warton, Warwickshire, UK.
