BAM Bouw en Techniek has won a contract from Schiphol to complete construction of A pier in the Netherlands.
During the tendering process, BAM showcased its in-house capacity to take on this contract.
The tendering procedure focused on cooperation within an integrated construction team and stakeholder management.
BAM will begin work in September.
The first phase of the project will involve Schiphol and BAM agreeing on a schedule and determining the anticipated costs for finishing the pier.
Construction of the new pier will see use of sustainable elements such as biomaterial, insulating glass, and reusable plastic and marble rubblework tiles.

The first foundation pile went into the ground for the new building, which has been named after Marga Klompé, the first female cabinet minister in the Netherlands.
Marga Klompé Building will feature independent study places, fourteen lecture halls, and a foyer.
It is being constructed by BAM Bouw en Techniek – Integrale Projecten Zuid and designed by Powerhouse Company.
Its design aligns with the surrounding wooded area and the natural character of the campus.
Marga Klompé Building, which is being constructed on the former parking lot between the Tias building and CUBE, offers space for almost 1,000 students.
