Balfour Beatty, an international infrastructure group, has been chosen to deliver over $70m in special project works across Central and South Florida, US.

This development marks the company’s commitment to undertake both large and niche, quick-turn speciality projects in the region, expanding its portfolio in various market sectors.

Since January this year, Balfour Beatty’s Buildings segment has secured more than 13 special projects from clients in Florida. These projects span the corporate offices, adaptive reuse, aviation, entertainment, public/civic, and mixed-use/retail sectors.

One significant project is the construction of the new 40,000ft² Crooked Can Brewery in Minneola, with work expected to start in early 2025 and completion by early 2026.

Additionally, Balfour Beatty is working on the adaptive reuse of Asana Partners’ Minnesota Row Business Center in Winter Park. This hospitality project for the repeat client will transform the six-building centre into a mixed-use complex, with completion also anticipated in early 2026.

The company has also completed the new 12,290ft² Osceola County Fire Station 85 in Kissimmee and has commenced work on Fire Station 83, the county’s 17th station, expected to be finished in mid-2025.
