United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based private developer Azizi Developments has signed a new agreement with International Foundation Group (IFG) to support the construction of the Burj Azizi skyscraper in the region. 

The collaboration will see IFG handling the foundational groundwork of the project, including piling, shoring, dewatering, and excavation, with the project forecast to become the world’s second-tallest building. 

Burj Azizi, located on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road, is expected to be completed within the next four years, by 2028. 

It is projected to become a landmark on Dubai’s skyline, attracting residents and tourists. 

Burj Azizi will house a vertical shopping centre, a seven-star hotel, an observation deck, and various luxury residences.

The exact height reveal of Burj Azizi is still pending approval from the relevant authorities.  

Construction has already commenced and is set to be a neighbour to Dubai’s World Trade Centre.
