Avant Homes Scotland, a house builder, has received planning approval for a £68m ($85.5m) residential project in Cairneyhill, West Fife, Scotland.

The development, named Keelyside View, will include 256 new homes featuring a range of two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom homes.

Situated off Sunnyside Road, the project showcases 13 Avant Homes properties of energy-efficient styles, including terraced, semidetached, and detached homes, as well as townhouses.

A quarter of the 256 homes will be reserved for affordable housing.

Construction at Keelyside View is planned to start in July 2025, and the first residents are anticipated to take possession of their homes by late 2026.

Avant Homes Scotland managing director Jim Wilkinson said: “As a business, our aim is to provide quality new homes for everyone in locations where people want to live.

“Our Keelyside View development is an excellent example of this and will deliver a range of practically designed energy-efficient homes at various price points for buyers.

“Living in Cairneyhill offers residents the best of urban and rural living, being close to the coast and within easy commuting distance of Edinburgh.”

Headquartered in Chesterfield, UK, Avant operates nine regional offices throughout the North and Midlands of England, as well as in Scotland.

In August 2024, Avant Homes Central received planning approval for a £29m ($36.50m) multitenure development, Lawrence Point, in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire, UK. The project will provide 104 new homes in Lynncroft, offering a variety of two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom properties.

In July last year, Avant Homes completed the acquisition of a prime development site near Barnsley, securing 18.5 acres of land located off Thurnscoe Bridge Lane in England to construct 300 energy-efficient homes, starting May 2025, subject to planning approval.
