Real estate developers Advanced Research Clusters (ARC) and Kier have celebrated the conclusion of the main structural work of ARC West London’s Refinery development in Hammersmith, UK.
On completion, the building will serve as a new home for the UK’s life sciences enterprises.
Under a single structure, the project will encompass 150,000ft² of high-specification laboratory, research, and development facilities.
The development comprises an expansion and redesign of the existing four-storey structure on the Northern Embankment of the River Thames. Two more storeys will also be constructed, including a green roof and a new facade.
The interior of the building will be completely renovated to include laboratories, a business lounge, co-working areas, conference rooms and other flexible working spaces.
In addition, the building will feature a restaurant and café, an event studio, a presentation room, and bicycle amenities.
