Vilnius City Municipality in Lithuania has granted a construction permit to real estate company Akropolis Group for the Akropolis Vingis complex, a multifunctional project in the Vilkpėdė district.
Akropolis Group is also planning traffic infrastructure improvements in the area.
The detailed technical designs for these traffic projects have been submitted to the municipality to secure further construction permits.
With all necessary permits in hand, Akropolis Group will finalise project implementation plans and seek optimal financing solutions.
The public was first introduced to the design proposals for Akropolis Vingis in July 2022, which received municipal approval by October of the same year.
After minor modifications, the proposals were reapproved in February 2024.

By GlobalDataAkropolis Vingis will transform a former industrial space into an area featuring shopping services, recreation, a concert hall, a food hall, a conference centre, a cinema, offices, and residential apartments.
The complex will also include approximately 4,500 parking spaces, with a focus on pedestrian- and cyclist-friendly infrastructure.
The redevelopment of the surrounding transport and traffic infrastructure is being closely coordinated with Vilnius City Municipality experts.
Three design proposals, including a two-level intersection and additional traffic lanes, are part of the plan to enhance the area’s connectivity and safety.
Some traffic improvements are already underway such as the completion of a section of Eigulių street, providing access to the adjacent reVINGIS residential project by Galio Group.
These upgrades, funded by Akropolis Vingis, aim to increase traffic capacity and ensure safe transit for all users.
The multifunctional complex can only begin operations once all public infrastructure work is completed, as per legislation.
Galio Group is contributing to the area’s transformation by constructing the reVINGIS residential complex, which includes multiapartment buildings and leisure facilities.
