Gables Residential is planning to build a mixed-use luxury apartment complex called Gables Tanglewood in Houston, US, in 2012.
The eight-storey building is due to replace a funeral home that was recently demolished on the northeast corner of San Felipe and Bering.
Gables Tanglewood, designed by Ziegler Cooper Architects, will have 327 one and two-bedroom apartments, 12,000ft2 of retail space, a rooftop pool, a fitness centre and a computer lounge.
The facility will have a brick facade and a colour scheme designed to blend into the Tanglewood neighbourhood, according to the Houston Chronicle.
USAA Real Estate is contributing equity for the project and the complex is estimated to open by mid-2013.
