November 2022 has seen a decrease of 7.63% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 4.11% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering a decrease of 0.25% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 53.57% in November 2022, an 114.29% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 25% in November 2022, marking a 12.5% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 5.36% in November 2022, a 62.5% drop from October 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 277.78% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s construction industry during November 2022 over previous month.
Komatsu posted 14 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Honeywell International with 9 jobs and a 350% growth. 3M with 5 IT jobs and Hatch with 4 jobs, recorded a 400% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while AGCO recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s construction industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 46.43% share in November 2022, an 116.67% increase over October 2022. Chile featured next with a 10.71% share, down 33.33% over the previous month. Puerto Rico recorded a 10.71% share, a growth of 500% compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 48.21%, down by 10% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 26.79% share, registered a growth of 50% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.86% share, up 42.86% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 7.14%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
