August 2022 has seen a decrease of 0.26% in the overall hiring activity when compared with July 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 3.78% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in August 2022, registering a decrease of 0.07% over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in August 2022
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 31.11% in August 2022, a 17.65% drop over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 26.67% in August 2022, marking a 45.45% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 17.78% in August 2022, a 27.27% drop from July 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 75% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s construction industry during August 2022 over previous month.
Honeywell International posted 9 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered an increase of 12.5% over the previous month, followed by Majid Al Futtaim Holding with 5 jobs and a 150% growth. Nenayo Media with 3 IT jobs and Caterpillar with 2 jobs, recorded a 200% rise and a 100% rise, respectively, while Eaton Corporation recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during August 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s construction industry
United Arab Emirates commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 22.22% share in August 2022, a 25% increase over July 2022. Egypt featured next with a 15.56% share, flat growth over the previous month. Israel recorded an 11.11% share, a drop of 54.55% compared with July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.44%, down by 25.64% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.89% share, registered a growth of 8.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.67% share, down 62.5% over July 2022.
