US-based company General Electric’s IT hiring declined 35.6% in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 29.04% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 10.7% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2022, and recorded a 0.91% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops General Electric IT hiring in June 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by General Electric, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 70.86% in June 2022, and a 35.08% drop over May 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 16.57% in June 2022, and registered a decline of 3.33%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 4% in June 2022, a 50% drop from May 2022.

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in June 2022 with a 49.14% share, which marked a 21.82% drop over the previous month.
North America stood next with 35.43%, registering a 47.01% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 13.71% share and a 50% drop over May 2022.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 1.14% and a month-on-month flat growth. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.57%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 44.57% share in June 2022, a 17.89% decline over May 2022. US featured next with a 30.29% share, down 41.11% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 4.57% share, a decline of 61.9% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead General Electric IT hiring activity in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 49.71%, down by 35.07% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 41.14% share, a decline of 37.93% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.57% share, down 46.43% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.57%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
