The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 9.46% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.8% share in November 2022, recording an increase of 0.07% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 6.94% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s construction industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Komatsu posted 18 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Hatch with 13 jobs and a flat growth. WesTrac with 13 IT jobs and Actividades de Construccion y Servicios with 12 jobs, recorded a 160% growth and a 29.41% decrease, respectively, while National Storage REIT recorded a decline of 42.11% with 11 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.85%, down by 23.08% from October 2022. Entry Level positions with a 15.23% share, registered a decline of 25.81% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 11.92% share, down 35.71% over October 2022.
