November 2022 has seen a decrease of 6.87% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 5.38% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering a decrease of 0.73% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 47.91% in November 2022, a 6.64% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 23.76% in November 2022, marking a 21.04% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 11.39% in November 2022, a 22.52% drop from October 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 17.24% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s construction industry during November 2022 over previous month.
Honeywell International posted 105 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered an increase of 87.5% over the previous month, followed by Larsen & Toubro with 90 jobs and an 8.43% growth. General Electric with 74 IT jobs and Johnson Controls International with 58 jobs, recorded a 9.76% drop and a 45% rise, respectively, while Jones Lang LaSalle recorded an 18.97% decline with 47 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s construction industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 64.46% share in November 2022, a 5.56% decrease over October 2022. Australia featured next with a 14.7% share, down 26.7% over the previous month. China recorded a 7.59% share, a drop of 9.3% compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.3%, down by 23.2% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 25.51% share, registered a decline of 17.09% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 15.09% share, up 44.86% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.1%, recording a month-on-month decline of 85.71%.
