Switzerland-based company ABB’s IT hiring declined 4.8% in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 3.61% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 10.88% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2022, and recorded a 0.11% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops ABB IT hiring in November 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by ABB, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 47.12% in November 2022, and a 9.26% drop over October 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 20.19% in November 2022, and registered a decline of 56.25%. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 16.35% in November 2022, a 15% drop from October 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at ABB

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in November 2022 with a 46.15% share, which marked a 29.41% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 29.81%, registering a 34.04% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 22.12% share and a 37.84% drop over October 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 1.92% and a month-on-month decline of 33.33%.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 21.15% share in November 2022, a 29.03% decline over October 2022. US featured next with a 17.31% share, down 35.71% over the previous month. Poland recorded an 8.65% share, an increase of 80% compared with October 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead ABB IT hiring activity in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.62%, down by 28.74% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 25.96% share, a decline of 32.5% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 12.5% share, down 55.17% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.92%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
