Venetian and Palazzo Complex, Las Vegas, USA – 7,017
The Venetian and Palazzo complex in Las Vegas, Nevada, has a total of 7,017 guest rooms, making it the world’s biggest hotel. Owned by Las Vegas Sands Corporation, the luxury twin hotel complex can host 12,000 guests at a time not including visitors to its casinos. The hotel features 35 restaurants and 150 shops.
The Venetian, designed by architect KlingStubbins, was opened in 1999. The Palazzo, opened to public in 2008, was designed by HKS Architects.
All guest rooms are described as suites, which vary in size from 650ft² to 10,000ft². The interior of the Venetian, which receives approximately 50,000 visitors a day, spans the size of 138 football fields. Approximately 45,000 gallons of paint was used to cover its interior walls.
MGM Grand Las Vegas, USA – 6,852
The 6,852-room MGM Grand Hotel & Casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, is owned and operated by MGM Resorts International. Since opening in December 1993, the hotel has been renovated three times, in 1996, 2005 and 2012.
Designed by architect Veldon Simpson, the hotel houses the largest casino in Clark County, occupying an area of 171,500ft². The main building of the hotel contains 30 floors and stands 293ft tall.

Managed by Resorts World Genting’s First World Hotel and Resorts, the hotel consists of two towers accommodating 1,669 standard rooms, 3,307 deluxe rooms, 69 deluxe triple rooms, 493 superior deluxe rooms and 136 world club rooms.
Apart from the Genting Indoor Theme Park, the First World Plaza houses replicas of the Statue of Liberty and an Oscar statue, as well as a mini stage for weekly magic and entertainment shows at Time Square. Malaysia-based AIB Associates Architects designed the hotel and plaza, which also includes video games arcades, food outlets, casinos and a Cineplex.
Mandalay Bay Resort Complex, Las Vegas, USA – 4,752
The MGM Resorts group-owned Mandalay Bay hotel complex, which includes the Delano Las Vegas and Four Seasons hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, Nevada, has 4,752 rooms and suites in total.
The 43-storey Mandalay Bay main hotel tower with 3,211 guest rooms, including 436 suites, was opened in 1999. Four Seasons Hotel, also housed in Mandalay Bay’s main hotel tower, features a separate entrance and lobby and manages an additional 424 rooms, which were remodelled in 2012.
Delano Las Vegas, a separate 43-storey hotel tower offering 1,117 suites and located adjacent to the Mandalay Bay main tower, was opened in September 2014. The hotel complex houses a shopping area, pool, spa, chapel, and extensive casino facilities, apart from offering one of the largest convention centres in the US.
The Wynn and Encore Las Vegas, USA – 4,750
The Wynn and its sister hotel, the Encore, are luxury resort hotels located opposite the Mandalay Bay on the Las Vegas strip, Nevada, USA. The Wynn Las Vegas, opened in 2005, features 2,716 guest rooms, while the Encore Las Vegas, opened in 2008, has 2,034 rooms.
Designed by Marnell Corrao Associates, the Wynn Las Vegas features an 111,000ft² casino, 22 food and beverage outlets, an 18-hole golf course, and a Ferrari and Maserati dealership.
The Encore Las Vegas, designed by architects Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo, contains five restaurants, 11 retail outlets, seven bars, a nightclub, and a luxurious spa and salon.

Located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, the Luxor Las Vegas is an Egyptian-style hotel and casino complex having 4,400 guest rooms including 442 suites. The luxury hotel consists of a 30-storey pyramid style tower opened in 1993 and twin 22-story towers with contemporary design that was added in 1998.
Owned and operated by MGM Resorts International, the hotel also includes a 120,000ft² casino with over 87 table games and 2,000 slot machines.
The Veldon Simpson-designed complex also houses a replica of the Sphinx, a five-acre pool area with four pools, two wedding chapels and a 20,000ft² multi-use ballroom.

Spread across 40 acres of beachfront property in Pattaya, Thailand, the Ambassador City Jomtien, owned by Ambassador Hotel Group of Thailand, is one of the oldest hotels in the area and contains 4,210 guest rooms.
The hotel comprises four wings namely, Ocean Wing, Marina Tower Wing, Garden Wing and the Inn Wing.
The four-star rated hotel has a private beach, as well as a huge elaborate pool deck, and offers a shopping area, conference halls and a number of bars and restaurants.
Aria Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, USA – 4,004
The 4,000,000ft² Aria Resort and Casino, with 4,004 rooms and suites, is the biggest building in the CityCenter complex on the Las Vegas Strip, Nevada. Located between the Bellagio Resort and Monte Carlo Resort, the Aria Resort and Casino comprises two curved glass and steel towers joined at the centre.
The LEED Gold-certified hotel building, opened in December 2009, was designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects and was developed by a joint venture between MGM Resorts International and Infinity World.
The building features a 150,000ft² casino floor, 16 restaurants, ten bars and lounge as well as shopping, pools and spa facilities.
Excalibur Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, USA – 3,981
The Excalibur hotel, owned and operated by MGM Resorts International, is a castle-styled hotel on the Las Vegas strip, Nevada.
Opened in 1990, the 28-storey hotel containing 3,981 guest rooms was designed by Veldon Simpson Architect. It houses a number of theatres, restaurants, stores, a wedding chapel, pool and an arena to hold medieval style tournaments.
The casino space at the hotel and casino spans 100,000ft² and contains over 1,700 slot machines.

Built on the site of the Dunes hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip, Nevada, the Bellagio luxury resort hotel owned by MGM Resorts International offers 3,933 guest rooms, which include 512 suites.
The resort hotel comprises of a 36-storey main hotel tower with 3,005 rooms and a 33-storey Spa tower containing 928 rooms. The $1.6bn hotel building designed by DeRuyter Butler and Atlandia Design was opened in October 1998.
The design of the hotel is inspired by the town of Bellagio in Italy. The lobby ceiling of the main tower is coved with a chandelier, called Fiori di Como, made by famous glass sculptor Dale Chihuly using over 2,000 hand-blown glass flowers. Another notable feature of the hotel is the Fountains of Bellagio housed on a lake between the building and the Strip.
