IT jobs accounted for a 3.68% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2021, registering an increase of 1.17% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 55.26% in June 2021, a 250% growth over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 31.58% in June 2021, marking a 100% month-on-month an increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 7.89% in June 2021, a 50% growth from May 2021.

Jones Lang LaSalle with 3 IT jobs and Mott MacDonald Group with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 200% increase, respectively, while SYSTRA MVA Consulting (India) recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during June 2021.

United Arab Emirates commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 36.84% share in June 2021, a 1300% rise over May 2021. Saudi Arabia featured next with a 31.58% share, up 200% over the previous month. Egypt recorded a 10.53% share, a flat growth compared with May 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 36.84%, up by 27.27% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 31.58% share, a growth of 140% compared with the previous month.
