Management Occupations drive construction hiring activity
Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Management Occupations, which accounted for 7% of the total new job postings in Q1 2023 and were down by 78% year-on-year. Second highest were Sales and Related Occupations, which accounted for 4% and drop by 79% year-on-year, and third highest were Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Occupations, which were 46% of the new job postings and 77% lower year-on-year.
Top five companies in construction accounted for 68% of hiring activity
The highest number of jobs were posted by Compagnie de Saint-Gobain with 2,599, followed by Vinci with 1,977, while the highest increase was at Nexity at 41%.
