Construction engineering company AF Gruppen has been appointed as the main contractor for the expansion of a wastewater treatment plant in Strømmen, Romerike, Norway.
The contract, known as Contract B2, involves construction and civil engineering work and was awarded by Nedre Romerike vann- og avløpsselskap (NRVA).
The initial phase of the project will concentrate on refining technical solutions and planning the execution strategy.
During this period, which is expected to last roughly one year, AF Gruppen and NRVA will collaborate closely to establish a target price for the construction phase.
The construction contract’s potential value is estimated to be Nkr1bn ($93.91m).
The contract will be recorded in AF Gruppen’s order backlog after the parties sign the second-phase agreement.
