Stantec, a sustainable design and engineering company, has completed the acquisition of England-based integrated engineering design company Hydrock.
The financial terms of the transaction, which closed on 30 April this year, have not been disclosed.
The strategic move will enhance Stantec’s UK workforce by more than 30% and strengthen its market position in the energy, buildings, and infrastructure sectors.
The deal marks a continuation of Stantec’s growth, following a period of both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.
Hydrock, established in 1995, has a presence across the UK with 22 locations.
The company’s expertise spans building design and performance, fire safety, energy and sustainability, and geotechnical services, among others.
