Swedish firm Tham & Videgård has created the Hemnet Home as a data experiment intended to create a new form of architecture.
Appointed by the country’s property website Hemnet, the architecture company has designed a prototype of ‘Sweden’s statistically most sought-after home.’

The design of Hemnet Home, which is nicknamed the ‘House of Clicks’, was developed after the firm analysed 200 million clicks on 86,000 properties that were on sale on the website between January and October 2014.
Hemnet spokesman Staffan Tell was quoted by Slate.com as saying: "The fact that two million people visit Hemnet each month provides a good foundation to interpret what kind of homes people are dreaming about."
The house has two distinct features, firstly its measurable properties such as size, price, number of rooms, bathrooms and floors, preferences directly interpreted from the Big Data statistics derived from Hemnet website users.
Tham & Videgård integrated this data with features from two types of popular Swedish homes; the Falu red wooden cottage offering history with local resources, crafts and national building traditions, and the white, functionalist box representing modernity, industrial development and international ideals.

The company’s data was translated into Swedish homeowners’ demand for 1½ floors, a balcony or terrace, an open kitchen, high ceilings, white walls, space and light.
The outside facade is made of standard wood boarding and painted in the traditional Swedish Falu red. Shaped like waves, the panel creates an enhanced depth and shadow effect.
