Admares, a Finland-based industrialised manufacturer of buildings and homes, has announced plans to invest $750m (€699.81m) to establish its new 230,000m² manufacturing facility in Waycross, in the US state of Georgia. The investment will create 1,400 new jobs.

The new facility will specialise in producing buildings for the housing sector and operations are scheduled for late 2025.

Admares was founded in Turku, Finland, and is considered one of the global leaders in the proptech world. It is understood to be in the process of relocating its headquarters to the US.

Upon the announcement of the project, Georgia State Governor Brian Kemp said: “Projects like this prove that in every part of the state, Georgia has what job creators look for. We are proud to welcome Admares to the number one state for business and [we are] thankful for their decision to locate in a rural part of Georgia, as so many other companies have done in recent years. This project will not only bring more opportunities to hardworking Georgians, it will also help innovate the home building industry at a time when we need more rural workforce housing.”
