Vistry Group, through its Countryside Partnerships brand, and the London Borough of Brent have commenced construction on the NWCC development in London, UK.
A ground-breaking ceremony led by Brent Council and Vistry West London managing director Daniel King was held.
The development is part of Brent’s regeneration programme, which is aimed at transforming South Kilburn in north-west London into a sustainable and thriving neighbourhood.
Vistry will be responsible for delivering 225 new homes, with 95 homes earmarked for Brent Council to be used as council homes, and 130 homes to be available for private sale.
Brent Council planning, regeneration and growth cabinet member and councillor Shama Tatler said: “This scheme will deliver more than 200 much-needed homes, almost half of which will be for existing South Kilburn residents.
“Not only will local families be given the keys to safe and secure homes – they will also be able to enjoy a whole range of new facilities, including a medical centre, café and pharmacy as part of the wider regeneration programme, right on their doorstep.”

It will also extend Neville Road through the NWCC site to Albert Road, further integrating the area’s infrastructure.
The NWCC development is expected to be completed by 2029.
King said: “We are excited to extend our South Kilburn estate regeneration partnership with Brent Council at NWCC, building on the considerable progress we have made at the adjacent North West Quarter.”
The North West Quarter has already seen the completion of two phases, delivering 102 new homes and affordable workspace, with the next phase set to be finalised in August 2024.
