Bristol City Council has appointed Kier Living as its development partner to deliver a £50m new housing development in south Bristol, England.

The development of the 12.7 hectare land surface at Hengrove Park, off Whitchurch Lane, includes a proposal to build 259 homes, ranging from one-bedroom flats to four-bedroom houses.

This is part of the first phase of the Park’s redevelopment programme.

The other projects in the scheme include the South Bristol Community Hospital, the Hengrove Leisure Centre and the City of Bristol Academy.

"Working closely with our partners and other local stakeholders we aim to create a vibrant and sustainable community centred new neighbourhood."

Kier Living Central Operations managing director Chris King said: "Kier has a proud history in delivering regeneration projects in Hengrove Park, having previously worked with Bristol City Council on the successful Hengrove Leisure Centre scheme, and we are delighted to continue this relationship as the developer partner for this priority strategic development opportunity.

"Working closely with our partners and other local stakeholders we aim to create a vibrant and sustainable community centred new neighbourhood, which will enhance the lives of the residents and visitors alike."
