Real estate company Catena has announced its plans to construct a new logistics facility on the Sockret 4 property in Malmö, Sweden.
The new 13,700m² facility carries an overall investment of Skr195m.
It will contain a warehouse alongside office space. Solar cells will placed on top of the new facility, thereby generating renewable energy.
The Sockret 4 property is home to another of Catena’s logistics facilities measuring 18,600m², which was recently completed for client Lekia.
The property comprises a 42,000m² site that is set to be entirely redeveloped.
E-commerce company Rugvista has already signed a nine-year leasing agreement with Catena and will establish its headquarters at the new location.

By GlobalDataRugvista CEO Michael Lindskog said: “Upon move-in, approximately 100 employees will work in the new, modern facility tailored to our operations.
“We particularly appreciate that sustainable solutions are part of both the construction process and the finished facility and we look forward to the continued collaboration with Catena.”
Located in the centre of Malmö’s harbour district, the facility offers easy access to nearby train and motorway infrastructure.
Catena regional manager Fredrik Renå said: “We’re incredibly proud to be a driving force in the transformation of the area and of the fact that we’re able to welcome Rugvista to a workplace that aligns perfectly with our philosophy that warehouse and logistics facilities should also be attractive workplaces where people thrive and develop.”
