Global contractor Multiplex has been chosen to construct an A$180m ($136.6m) commercial tower for developer Shayher Group’s Brisbane Quarter project in Australia.
The 42-storey building at 300 George Street is the second of three towers planned under the project, which includes the five-star luxury lifestyle hotel W Brisbane and an 82-storey residential tower.
The hotel building is also being constructed by Multiplex.
Multiplex Queensland regional managing director Graham Cottam said: “Brisbane Quarter is an outstanding integrated development already having a significant impact on the Brisbane skyline."
Estimated to provide a space of 48,342m², the commercial tower will aim for a five-star Green Star rating.
Shayher Group director John Lin said: “Multiplex’s extensive experience across large-scale and complex projects has impressed us and they understand the importance of delivering high-quality outcomes, which is a perfect fit for the world-class 300 George Street project.”
