Infrastructure operator Ferrovial‘s subsidiary Webber has secured nine construction projects in two US states.
The overall project value is worth more than $1bn, and the works will be carried out in Texas and Florida.
Bridge restoration, route widening, and safety upgrades for adjacent towns are part of these projects.
The $79.9m project in Florida is said to be Webber’s first large, heavy civil project in the state. The company currently manages highways in Orange, Hillsborough, and Pinellas counties, as well as the Port of Miami tunnel.
Webber will rebuild one of Jacksonville’s busiest interchanges, the I-95 and US-1 interchange.
Construction works are progressing and are slated for completion in early 2025.
