Bottler and distributor Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling has revealed plans to expand its operations at the existing facility in Rancho Cucamonga, California, US.
The firm intends to invest approximately $500m to transform this facility.
Rancho Cucamonga will become the fourth location in California where Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling produces. The other three facilities are in Downey, San Leandro, and Los Angeles.
The expansion project involves demolishing and reconstructing the Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling factory, which is currently situated at 10670 6th Street.
Upon completion, the facility will be developed from a single-building distribution centre to a 620,000ft² site with full manufacturing facilities.
With safety and sustainability being major priorities, the newly built bottling and distribution centre will feature larger break rooms, training and parking areas, electric vehicle charging stations, a tour gallery, a fleet store, and a recycling centre.
