Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction’s Buildings and Factories business has received an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
According a press statement released by L&T, a multinational company has placed this order for the development of commercial office space in the city with an approximate built-up size of 14,85,000ft².
L&T has not disclosed the exact value of the purchase, but it considers orders ranging from Rs10bn ($12m) to Rs25bn to be “significant”.
The company will leverage composite steel construction technology for the development of the office space.
It demonstrates the company’s vertical experience in the ‘fast-track execution’ of steel construction using the technology.
Work on the project is expected to be completed in 2026.
