Keepmoat Homes has secured planning approval from East Staffordshire Borough Council to construct new homes in Burton Upon Trent in Staffordshire, the UK.
The plans include construction of 125 detached and semi-detached homes on the former Imex Business Centre site, off Shobnall Road in the town.
Keepmoat Homes acquired the 8.6-acre land from Homes England, a non-departmental public body that funds new affordable housing in England.
The project will include 41 two-bedroom, 61 three-bedroom and 23 four-bedroom detached and semi-detached houses.
In partnership with Flint Housing, about 25% of the houses will be made affordable and available for Shared Ownership and Affordable Rent, reported in Phpdonline.
Construction work on the project is expected to commence in this spring and will take approximately two years to complete.

By GlobalDataKeepmoat Homes regional managing director Charlotte Goode said: “We’re delighted to have secured planning consent for this exciting new project.
“The development, which will be known as Malthouse Place, represents a £24 million investment into the area and our aim is to transform the disused site into a new and sustainable community, bringing much-needed new homes to Burton.”
In November last year, the company partnered with West Lindsey District Council to deliver a sustainable neighbourhood in West Lindsey.
This scheme features 454 new homes to be built in a woodland background, adjacent to Warren Wood.
Keepmoat will deliver a mix of modern two-, three- and four-bedroom homes.
