Midlands Land Portfolio Limited (MLPL), the property development arm of Severn Trent, has appointed St. Modwen as its development partner for a 154-acre site development near Cheltenham.
The project site, which is located to the west of Cheltenham, is said to be part of The Golden Valley Development, a mixed-use venture.
The 200-hectare development, which is led by Cheltenham and Tewkesbury Borough Councils, is located adjacent to the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) and the National Cyber Security Centre.
The project will include around 3000 new homes, a mixed-use Cyber Central Cluster that will muster leading cyber businesses and innovators besides academic facilities dedicated to cyber and technologies, along with significant infrastructure improvements.
The development will also comprise new homes along with formal and informal green space and community assets, which will complement the development of the cyber-related employment uses.
The Golden Valley Development is claimed to be one of the most significant residential opportunities in the South West.
