Peel Land and Property (Peel L&P) and Your Housing Group (YHG) have secured planning permission for the new residential development at Liverpool Waters, a large scale community development in the UK.

The new project, named Patagonia Place, is a 31-storey residential development and will comprise 278 homes.

Faulkner Chester Hall has designed the new residential project, Arup, an engineering and design company, will provide planning consultation and Vermont will construct the project.

Peel L&P Liverpool Waters development director Darran Lawless said: “It’s fantastic to have reached this significant milestone, after a huge amount of work in collaboration with Your Housing Group, our advisory team and contractor Vermont, that has gone into securing planning consent.

“We’re delighted with the progress made across Liverpool Waters and this is yet another incredible residential development, adding to the existing schemes delivered at Princes Dock creating more quality homes, securing local jobs and investment in an enviable waterfront location, right here in Liverpool city centre.”

Claimed to be one of the largest regeneration projects within Europe, the £5bn Liverpool Waters covers nearly 60 hectares of historic docklands and will span over 2.3km of the waterfront.

The new residential development marks the fifth residential development at Princes Dock, which is one of five neighbourhoods at the Liverpool Waters that provides two million m² of floor space.

It includes approximately 9,000 residential homes, with 315,000m² of business space and 53,000m² of hotel and conference facilities.

The project will also feature a new 25,900m² cruise liner terminal and hotel along with a new Isle of Man ferry terminal which is now under construction and the proposed new Everton Football Club stadium.
