Poland’s Ferrero Polska has awarded a contract to Eiffage Polska Budownictwo, a unit of France’s Eiffage Construction, for the construction of two expansions of the production plant in Belsk Duży near Grójec.

Construction has commenced on the extension project at the Ferrero plant with completion planned in eight months.

Work under the first expansion involves the construction of an office building connected to the production hall, the administrative building and the laboratory, of more than 3400m². It is designed by architect Blezat.

Under the second expansion, Eiffage will build a new warehouse to store raw materials with a preparation hall. The warehouse is designed by WG Studio.

Operational since 1997, the Ferrero plant in Belsk Duży is equipped to produce treats, which are sold in more than 70 countries.
Eiffage Polska Budownictwo Northern Region deputy director Piotr Saulewicz said: “We are pleased that Ferrero has assigned Eiffage to the project.

“Each new project implemented for the food industry reinforces our high level of competence and experience in implementing this type of project.

“The latter must be carried out quickly (8 months) and, as such, it requires the appropriate organisation and coordination of the work of the entire Eiffage team.”

In Poland, Eiffage earlier completed work for Unilever in Poznań, and Volkswagen in Września and Poznań Antoninek.

Eiffage is currently completing work for the Mercedes-Benz engine plant in Jawor near Legnica, with delivery planned in summer 2021.

In July 2020, Eiffage Construction was selected to build Joya commercial project in Fontenay-sous-Bois, Paris, France on behalf of developers Européquipements and Quartus.

The 49,000m², eight-storey office building will comprise more than 4,000 workstations, a 127-seat auditorium and a 7,000m² of facilities such as dining areas, two VIP restaurants, fitness room and concierge service.
